Yaso Wellness Health Clinic is your one-stop shop for all areas of wellness to meet your needs as a patient and as a person. Being born and raised in the South Side of San Antonio, our Founder, Dr. Leticia Vargas, had a vision to establish a clinical practice where members of the community could receive affordable healthcare and resources to achieve whole-body wellness in a safe space. Wellness doesn’t just stop at your health, which is why Yaso wellness offers more than just clinical services. Here, your overall wellness is important and is key to your healing journey. Yaso aims to be a welcoming space for all members of the community who want to improve their wellness; whether it’s hormone therapy, IV-hydration, or joining us for a nutrition class or for an exciting Zumba class, Yaso can help you thrive in wellness.
Dr Vargas brings over 15 years of dedicated experience in women’s health and OB/GYN care. A graduate of UT Health San Antonio, she completed her residency at University Hospital in 2004 and is board-certified in both OB/GYN and Obesity Medicine.
In 2009, she earned an MBA in healthcare administration from Texas Tech, further enhancing her leadership in clinical practice.
Passionate about underserved communities, Dr. Vargas serves as President of Quijotes of San Antonio, a nonprofit providing medical care in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Additionally, Dr. Vargas aims to give back to the community through combining her clinical expertise with an affordable and holistic approach to wellness at Yaso Wellness Health Clinic. She also enjoys cultural outreach, travel, and connecting communities to care.
Yaso is driven to serving the community through the clinic and outside its doors. Outside of the clinic, Yaso Wellness works in collaboration with other non-profit/community engagement organisations.
Founded in 1989, by a small group of private physicians practicing in downtown San Antonio, Texas. The missionary team is comprised of physicians, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, lab technicians, psychologists, ancillary staff, and health career students, that join together in the mission to provide free medical services to the underserved, impoverished communities of Oaxaca, Mexico and the surrounding region. All members are volunteers and fund their own participation every year.
